PARAGLIDING DVD FROM NOVA

NOVA has made a new paragliding film. It is called DYNAMIC DECISIONS and it is one of the most outstanding movies on paragliding ever made.

Why? It shows how paragliders in different “DHV Gütesiegel” categories react when flying the most dangerous maneuvers. The film is produced in an informative, entertaining and also appealing way.

On the one side, DYNAMIC DECISIONS is a “how to do it” film. There is something to learn for beginners as well as for experienced pilots. On the other side, the breathtaking shots from Austrian Stubaital and Rofan Mountains are real appetizers.

The film also shows the fun aspect of paragliding. It simply is a film not to be missed. "Brilliantly done. It's a real gem!" commented Karl Slezak, DHV's "Safety Specialist", after watching the film for the first time.

Hannes Papesh, head of construction at NOVA, explains: "Our main intention was to show the different reactions of a paraglider with DHV Gütesiegel class 1–2 (old), class 1–2 (new) and class 2 to the most dangerous maneuvers: Asymmetric Collapse, Frontstall and Spiral. Those are the major reasons for severe accidents. Finally, we want to demonstrate clearly what it means to say that the pilot and the paraglider must fit together perfectly."

There is also a bonus on this DVD of a flight in Tirol. It is a distance flight over the Karvendel from Innsbruck to Achensee, where Nova tests their gliders over water. This is a rather commonly made distance flight by experienced pilots, and the scenery is spectacular!
